Lion King

Just saw it last week and it was exceptional, we splurged on our seats but it was worth it, the costumes and performers were wonderful. It's not The Phantom or Mystere where you would have things going on behind or above you the action in on stage and occasionally down the aisles.
Where were your seats 'bc_redhead'?
We saw Lion King last week and were disappointed. It is way too long and I was not blown away at all by any of the costumes. The storyline was just like the movie and way too boring and predictable.

We left at intermission and did not go back in for the second half. We played BJ instead.
...well it is a kid's CARTOON after all.
It's 5:05am on Sunday morning 7/5....heading for you know where
in a few minutes, I'll report my thoughts later next week.

Seen Lion King two weeks ago, thought the show and the production was good. I enjoyed the creativity of the production. Its true that the story line is predictable, but it is a Disney story. Never hurts to return to simple values every once in a while. We got mid-price, mid-theater seating and view was ok. Sunday p.m. performance, theater was 3/4 fill. The empty seats were in the top price ticket seating, cheap seat were fill. Sign off the times or are ticket prices too high? One other note, the AC works fine in the Lion King theater, cold to the point of being uncomfortable. Bring a jacket or wrap.
Enjoy the show, we did.

hahaha....the BJ storyline can be pretty predictable too!!
If you missed my little 'post' LION KING post, I was ALL WET
in re. to seating. UP FRONT IS TOO CLOSE!
They raised the stage 18" from MIA and you couldn't see some
of the effects they do on the stage form the up front seats.
I walked around during the break and Row G looked pretty good...
Sorry if I misled anyone...live 'n learn.
We saw the show a couple weeks ago and had great seats! Row M, Seats 13 & 14. Had a chance at front row and glad we didn't take them for the reasons Gregrio posted. The show was great and fun was had by all!
I am reviving this old thread because it has the most useful information I have found in the forums on where to sit for Lion King.

Travelzoo is featuring an offer for 40% off Lion King tickets Through December 20th. Click here for instructions or go to Ticketmaster and type TRZ40 in the offer code/password box.

In a prior post Greg thought row G was a good location. When I looked for tickets for this Sunday there were tickets still available for front row center, on the side near the front (row F or lower), on the side higher up (row H or higher) and cheaper seats up in the Mezzanine (which looks like, but is not, a balcony).

I settled on two tickets in Section C, Row J, seats 5 & 6.

Cost for these $72.50 tickets after fees and $2.50 each to print the tickets myself was $84.22. Almost $25 is "service" fees. I hate that.
We went last month. Sat in the section on the right as you face the stage, fourth row on the aisle. Great seats, great show. I wish I could see it again before it closes.
