Locals tickets

Heard for years about great prices on tickets for locals. Now that we are locals we see lots of ads for those tickets but when I try to get them they are never available.

Is there a secret I do not know about?
You usually have to buy at the place selling tix so they can check your Drivers Lic.
Mob Museum has a Locals rate of $10. I know Monorail tix are cheaper for Locals, etc.
how does fil-a-seat work?
Obviously I don't know first hand, but have a local friend who uses
a program like it...think his is called Seat Fillers.
Basically the way it works is you get emails offering seats to various Shows.
You're given a time line in which to respond and claim your seat. The seats aren't
the best, they're doing exactly what the title say...they're filling seats in a showroom
that hasn't sold out. Many of the choices are 'B', 'C' level Shows, you won't find too many top tier 'A' Shows in their offerings, but it's a great way to see lots of Shows
for just the cost of your annual membership.
The biggest hang up seems to be, you need to reply NOW! or loose the ticket.

Fill a seat and house seats are similar, you pay a yearly fee for 1 2 or 4 tickets. You log into their website a couple times a day and see what shows and tickets are available. Seats aren't always the best, but the show is free. Don't expect the top tier shows to pop up, either. Blue Man Group is the best I've seen.
Paid my $10. After a couple weeks got a notice of tickets available in my wife's e-mail account (not mine).
Could not get in using either e-mail address and the password I set up. As there is no phone I sent an
e-mail 3 days ago. Still no response. Not impressed.
