Friday we saw Mike Hammer at Four Queens.
He is billed as comedy magic with an edge.
Don't expect white tigers or disappearing 747's here.
This is old school magic (he is good) but what really makes the show is his personality.
He is one of those performers that creates such a connection with his audience that you applaud even when the trick fails. And he has a talent for insulting everyone - and becoming more likeable with each insult.
We expected the show to be quite good - it was more than double that.
Best of all the box office sold us 2 tickets for Mike Hammer, plus 2 tickets for Jay Bolan - for a total of $46.00 - taxes in.
If you are downtown - you are really missing out if you don't see these two shows.
