Well, the boys in blue have moved again and are the headliners in
the Monte Carlo now. I was surprised walking through the casino...
it's been spruced up a lot and looks pretty good.
The Show is in the old Lance Burton Theater. The seating has stayed
the same and the chairs offer a bit more room than the (very small) seats
did back over in the Venetian showroom.
The Show is different too, with the theme (seeming) to be our relationships with our
toys...our technology toys and how it may or may not distance us from one
another, make us more isolated, causing us to loose our communication skills.
There's several of the same gags from their other Shows, along with some new
twists. Robots are BIG in the new Show including a silver, CP30 looking 'female'
addition to their family.
There's also a pre Show parade! (remember the one at RIO years back before the Masquerade Show In The Sky?)
3 drummers on wheels, a couple UFO looking contraptions, the silver robot, all dressed
in various forms of lighting...enter the casino from doors in between the main cage and the players club desk.
It's LOUD, it catches the folks in the casino by surprise and parades through the casino
to registration and back again...ending in front of the showroom doors.
There, the drummers play up a storm while silver robot makes friends with the crowd for pictures.
Remember the 'paper tsunami' at the end of the last Show? It's gone, but it's replacement is lots
of fun. Not to be the one to spoil the ending however.........
lets just say the 'new' Blue Men now have balls..................BIG BALLS!
I've always liked to sit just behind the 'poncho' seats in the front center section.
I had SEC. ORCHR, ROW E, SEAT 24......my choice tic was $139.70
