I think on the last YouTube episode, Anthony said that they finalized the deal and are waiting for Rio to put the codes in their system. I've concluded that LVA needs to not talk about anything that's not yet available, I've been waiting for the Advantage Player book I bought in October and the Slot book I bought in December for a while now. I've decided I won't buy anything that's "coming soon".
There are better magic shows
Check the reviews on P&T. Most people think they are mailing it in. The preshow is Penn play the base and the show goes downhill from there.
I saw them last year and they are nowhere near as good as they used to be. Penn talks about half the time about how great they are. They do about 10 tricks most of them boring card tricks. You could hear people snoring.

Are P&T still at the Rio? Their show even years ago was, to be kind, repititous; 'magic tricks' pretty lame, always the shooting of the bullit held in Teller's mouth is the one I recall now. To me the draw was their unique personalities. We liked it enough to see them nearly every visit as long as it was on a comp. Can't believe they are still going.

I've heard from multiple sources that they're just mailing it in at this point, which I suppose isn't surprising, given their age. It's sort of like when some band from the 80s (or 70s, or 60s, or 1880s) plays Vegas with most of the performers not being original members of the band but nonetheless, belting out 80% of the singing and 90% of the music. It's more about nostalgia than performative quality at that point.
I had the opportunity to see them on my recent visit, and for half off at that, but it still didn't seem that attractive to me. Their magic is pretty bottom-shelf at this point--they've been eclipsed by a dozen fresher performers--and half of the show is just banter now anyway.
The Rio's primary value remains its proximitity to better casinos and attractions. Nothing wrong with that, though, especially if your mindset is that they'll be your home base but nothing else, and your daily task will be to secure transportation to and from the place. Worked well for me with my own car and the free valet.
Lance Burton was the best magic I've seen in Vegas or anywhere else. And while his big illusions were fun it was his sleight of hand that was really amazing. Saw him at the Hacienda and then the Monte Carlo when he moved over.
Saw Penn Teller and WOW last year and WOW was way more entertaining and enjoyable.
