Question for Gregrio

Sorry for double post. My cat is laying on my keyboard. Makes it hard to type. We want to see Phantom for our end of Feb trip. Through Travel Zoo we can get first row balcony tickets for 66.00. Or, we can get main floor in the section to the side of the Golden Circle, but next to the aisle for 98.00. Do you think Phantom is a show that is better appreciated close up, or would balcony tickets be fine. Thanks a bunch.
I think our entertainment guru is currently in Las Vegas or will soon be departing so he may not get to your post for a few days. He previously recommended GOLD CIRCLE, ROWS G-M. He wrote"Probably some of the best costumes and stage sets in town" so I assume that is his reason for recommending Gold Circle seating.
I have have also heard that being on the front of the balcony is a very good spot, especially the scene with the falling chandelier.
I'M STILL HERE, I'M STILL HERE...lol, I don't leave until EARLY Monday morning/home Friday.
This trip: LOVE, Remembering Red, MYSTERE, PHANTOM, ELTON.

The first time I saw PHANTOM, it was from the balcony and it was pretty bad...Much too
far from the stage and your view was real poor...AND IT WAS FREEZING UP THERE!
THEN...I started sitting up front and WOW!...totally different Show.

If the side aisle seats are next to center Gold Circle section...take 'em.
If they're next to the far wall...NO.
I've had aisle seats, row G next to center Gold Circle a couple times and had a great time.
It's the closer you get to 'the wall' on the far side that your view get's pretty poor...stay as
center as possible.

In re to the Chandelier falling...REMEMBER, the Vegas production builds the Chandelier at the very
first part of the Show then, on the PHANTOM's command..."BRING DOWN THE CHANDELIER!" it crashes
down an kills a bunch of audience members.
POINT IS...most of the time you're watching the Show and that's where your focus should be in
choosing your seats.

Thanks for all your replies. Yes, I can get aisle seats next to the Golden circle. I can pretty much get row 3 and back. Would row 3 or 4 be too close , and should I select a row a little further back.

Greg, I hope you have a wonderful trip, and I always look forward to your reviews when you return.

Good Luck!!!
I usually sit ROW F,G,H, Diane.
You don't want to be too close...looking Left/Right just to take
in the whole stage. I know I've been in ROW G a couple times
on the aisle and don't remember where I'm sitting next Wednesday...
(i'm at work, info is home, lol)
Are the seats where you get killed a lot cheaper???
jhawker, not if you include the cost of the undertaker.
Awww, NOT GONNA TELL YA 'jhawkgirl'
Vegas is full of surprises and that's gonna have to stay one of 'em!
I can tell ya my seat is in Gold Circle, Row E, Seat 20 and I... WILL be
enjoying breakfast the next day!
Couldn't miss my date with ELTON then next evening now could I....
Greg, enjoy your week in Vegas!
We look forward to hearing about it when you return.
