Review- Human Nature

Wow- 4 white aussies really rock Motown. Wonderful show. Worth full price (but available at tix for tonight and not a bad seat in the house).

Compares favorably to Jersey Boys and which you like better would probably simply hinge on which music you prefer- but you can't go wrong with either.
I'm originally from Detroit, and grew up on Motown music. I was really sceptical about four white boys doing justice to the Motown sound. We saw them last June, and I was pleasantly suprised about how well they pull it off. A very good show, indeed! Bob
We got the all stage pass. When we went in September. This show was great I really enjoyed it also.
I've seen it twice. I've VERY picky. Enjoyed it as much the second time as the first. And I'm still wondering if it's true. A boy-band singing Motown? There's no way I could enjoy that.

Could we please stop being surprised that singing skill is unrelated to race?

It isn't, and we've known it for a very long time.

Singing skill isn't related to race, but style certainly is. No one can sing Motown or R&B better than the original Black singers that did it. Human Nature is very entertaining and they do a job job of singing Motown songs, but are they as good as the original, nope! Bob
We would agree that it is an excellent show. They do a great job withy all the songs and are very entertaining. I also grew up on that type of music. We went last year on a super deal we found through dineLV.com, although it is no longer available. We found some 2-4-1 coupons and will be going again this year. Loved the show. We also have tickets to see Jersey Boys this year, looks like it's going to be a trip full of "our" old music.
Tennis bum I agree with you. Saw the show last night. As far as any comments on race, early on in the show Human Nature comments on the idea of 4 aussies singing motown and getting as far as they have in the entertainment business. Until the british invasion with guitars in the 60's, most groups (male/female/black/white) sang in that style.

Winwood is your example?

Yeah, one of many.

The point is that, like Jesse Owens taught so long ago, we could really all do ourselves a favor and stop trying to tie human capabilities to race.
