The Sphere

Saw some videos of the U2 show at the Sphere.  Unimpressed.  Many of the seats are very far from the stage & you can hardly see the band.  Making it worse is that the videos are overwhelming the band making them look even smaller.

Just saw the movie at the Sphere. We sat in the 400 level that cost over $100.00 per seat. This is the highest level. These are steep seats and uncomfortable. We did not feel secure and safe with so many people sittting so close together. Also it is difficult to leave the seats to get something. We wondered how they would get people out if that was neccesary. Also we had to go up three very very long escaltors to get to them.

It was so crowded we did get not a chance to see the Robots even though we were there very early. The show was interesting with beautiful scenes around the world.

I wouldn't reccomend wearing high heels and walking up or down the steps.

Other than that it might be a nice thing to experience once but I did not feel that it is the best place to see a show or film.

I have a feeling it will be a one and done experience as I heard people saying.

We won't be back.

It's physically impossible to get that many people into an enclosed space and give all of them a decent view of the stage/screen/whatever. And the prices they're charging...it seems to be just another "gouge the tourists" boondoggle.

I wish there were entertainment options on the Strip that didn't cost the GDP of a small country to enjoy, but obviously, that ship sailed long ago. Vegas, not to put too fine a point on it, is a ripoff.

They should build a second sphere next to the original one and call it "Balls."

During my Oct 6-9 Vegas trip, one of my friends attended two U2 concerts at The Sphere.  He got tickets at face value of $150 and said that the shows were fantastic.  He commented how U2 was great, and that the facility took the experience to another level of almost sensory overload, "But in a good way".  He returned to Vegas ten days later with his girlfriend for two more shows.

My friend did comment about a fairly small (I don't recall the specifics) percentage of seats with restricted views.  From these seats, one could see they band, but part or much of the sphere interior video was blocked.  He had read about these seats in advance, and made certain not to sit in these.  I visited The Sphere website about October 10, and the show I looked at (not U2) clearly stated when considering certain seats that views were obstructed.

I feel like if you're going to do it then save up for the extra money and get good seats.   Kinda like an NFL game.   I'd rather go to a Sports Bar and watch the game on TV compared to nose bleed seats at the stadium in the endzone.

Not sure I'd shovel up big money to see U2.   Most of the bands I like are old and cant sell tickets for $300.  Maybe Aerosmith.
