Trent Carlini

We saw Trent Carlini at the Hilton in December. Very disappointing.

He did not have a band,

In his opening song he walked into one of his Elvis cardboard cutouts and spent about 15 seconds attempting to stand it up before someone from the audience did it for him.

On one of his exits he went to put his microphone on the stand, missed and had to pick it up off the floor.

On another exit he turned to leave and his crew hadn't opened the drapes for him where he exited - one of his showgirls did it for him.

His performance seemed rushed, and it appeared that he didn't want to be there - his heart wasn't in it.
I appreciate that anyone can have a bad night, but he just didn't seem interested.

I had heard that his show was good, so I would be interested in reading a review from a different night.

That's too bad, he 'can' be very good. And he's gotta be a bit depressed too these days...
He won that America's Got Tallent, his old BIG band Show was real good at the LVHilton
but...IT COST A LOT, and the room was too big to make any money.

He just can't find the right combination of room, band/no band, Show content/costume change...
I thought Shimmer Cabarett/a lounge act might be good for him. I couldn't find out if he had a LIVE band
before I saw it there. It was okay, but NOTHING has been as good as his Hilton Shows.

He acts like he's a...lesser act, than he used to be.
Too bad. It's also too bad the Hilton...Trent...or someone doesn't provide better advertising but hey...
it all cost money and unless Carlini is BRINGING IN THE MONEY audience wise.......it doesn't look good.

Twice now. I've seen him in there, and when they open up that curtain/wall on his last number...there's
almost been more folks standing in the hallway...listening, clapping, ENJOYING, than in Shimmer itself.

If I were Trent, and had the money to pay another big band....I'd like to work in RIO's CROWN THEATER.
It's such a neat room, perfect size and vibe for an ELVIS Show (in and around the othe CROWN Shows...)
