Saw them years ago & they were great.  Saw this show last summer & they are just mailing it in now.  Half the show is Penn talking about himself.  They do a few card tricks & then call it a night.  It is so bad that even the sword trick was boring

People were actually snoring during the show.

We complained and got half our money back.  I guess the Rio extended them because they had to put something in the theater; which is a long walk from the casino.

Check the reviews on trip Advisor & other sites.  Many reviews say the same thing.

Yeah, we saw them years ago and they were fantastic.  Actually about 7 years ago.  From the few people I have talked to that have seen them, they say the show isn't all that great now.  Heard the same thing about Cooperfield.  Person I talked to, said it seemed like he was drunk during his show.  Never have seen his show, so no basis for comparison.

"Jumping the shark" is a more recent one.  I think it regarded shows that had gone on for so many years, now runnning on empty, nothing new.

You could say that about Vegas in general right now. Its current iteration is a sad, pathetic ghost of what it used to be. Being there now is like going out with that gorgeous, sweet cheerleader you used to date in high school, except that now she's 73, is missing one eye and her left arm, carries a poodle named "Truffles" that bites everyone in her handbag, and smokes cigars. There's barely enough left to remind you of what she used to be like.

Vegas doesn't have the same appeal as it used to for me.  That being said, 32,000,000 visitors went to Las Vegas last year.   Unlike Kevin, I don't hate these people.

Unlike Boilerman, I don't think the moon is overrun by nine-legged purple giraffes.

We do miss the deals but we still enjoy in no particular order the entertainment, the food, the hotels, the gambling and the overall party atmosphere (everybody is generally happy).  We visit with friends and family.  With some effort deals can still be found.

With my consulting work in Phoenix we now go several times per year.  With my other consulting assignment in Orlando we go see the parks there (now that's expensive!)
