Wayne Newton Home tour

Has anybody taken the tour of Wayne Newtons home. I see ads for it in some of the mags around town. is it worth going to see. any help would be great. Thanks FREDFRED
My wife and I did this two years ago and we really enjoyed it. We had to meet at a location. We took a bus onto his property and they let you see his car garage(no cars in it), his personal plane(we went on it). Then you get to walk around inside the house and some of the yard and look at some of his animals.
I think we are going to do it. It is pricey but got all god reviews on tripadvisor
My brother & I did it in March. We absolutely loved it! If you're going to do it, I highly recommend the Diamond Tour which is $95/pp but worth every penny in my opinion. We had an excellent tour guide, Steve, although I've heard they're all good. You get to see everything! In the main house, the diamond tour allows you to go upstairs to see the bedrooms, the closets, the bathrooms, I mean everything. I was fascinated by the personal family photos in frames all over the place too. There were many many nice cars in the garage when we were there. You will also get to visit the first (smaller) home Wayne built on the property where he lived with his parents and brother. We weren't lucky enough but I've heard Mr. Las Vegas himself shows up and surprises guests from time to time. The outside part of the tour was really nice too. The stables and horses are just beautiful. You can really tell how much he loves these horses by the environment he provides for them. You will also get to see some of his exotic animals like a monkey named Boo, some cut little penguins, and even a wallaby! I am "only" 46 so my opinion of Wayne Newton was that of a cheesy Las Vegas lounge singer. I left that day with a newfound respect for him. What a philanthropic and patriotic guy! Sorry for rambling, I just loved this tour and I want everyone to go!

rscima, did the tour include hotel pickup? From what web or other site did you access this Diamond tour? Thanks.
Thank you for the feedback. My wife and I along with a couple of friends decided to take the diamond tour as well. We also did the hotel pickup from the Tropicana. We enjoyed the day very much. You are so correct about the horses and how they are taken care of. The grounds were amazing. The house was quite impressive. I thought it would be much larger and was surprised that it was a perfect family house. We enjoyed seeing all the pictures, antiques, and memorabilia. So glad we went. We like to enjoy a new experience every time we go and would also recommend this tour to others. "Mr Las Vegas" unfortunately did not make a surprise visit- that would have been a very special bonus. O2bnVegas: I believe fredfred answered your question about hotel pickup. We rent a car so it wasn't necessary for us, but the website says they include strip hotel pickup with the Diamond Tour.

fredfred: So glad you enjoyed it as much as we did! Everyone seems to have the same opinion after they take the tour. They're doing such a great job. Did you get Steve as your tour guide? Were you and your friends the only ones on the tour? They keep the groups pretty small which is really nice, makes it feel so personal.
