Which Hotel ??

Okay all you Vegas pro's here is my question, taking my 21 year old daughters and friends to Vegas next year to celebrate their 21st birthdays, which hotel and why between the Mirage, Venetian or the Cosmo ?? Thanks for any help...
Cosmo - young and hip crowd there. Also, great center strip location.
I agree with melonhead, however, I don't see how you could go wrong with any of them. I would consider things such as players club / points. if you and your group are interested in building a relationship with any of these joints, you can get good room offers in the future. if u are likely to come back but not them, maybe let them use your card in the slot machines to earn points and or comps. most of all, have fun!
First trip you need the Strip (2 days and nights) any of the above you mentioned are fine. If time permits 2 nights spent Downtown Golden Nugget has great rooms---good Happy Hours---very clean and organized---nice pool if weather permits and you the Fremont Experience. It will have them talking for awhile even after the trip ends. Casinos are close together and wide open yes on the small side but this is a good point.

I vote for Venetian. One of the last of the iconic joints in Vegas.
Meaning it exhibits a theme (old Italian) in such a way you don't see elsewhere (except in Italy).
The gondolas, the artwork on the ceilings, the cute shops, Madame Tussades wax museum next door (which has spot on re-creations of modern rock and fashion idols), etc.

Just passing by it makes me smile.
Their rooms (they call them suites) are super nice.

Also, it is an easy walk to Wynn/Encore, which they'd be impressed with, the high fashion shops, gorgeous place, a youngish place.

Admittedly, if they can get Cosmo panoramic Strip views, that would be a point in favor of Cosmo. Mirage is lovely too, I hope. It had become rather worn, but I think updating is in progress.

Where ever they stay, get tickets to the hot show there. Love at Mirage. Don't know who will be playing Venetian next year, but they always have somebody good. Same for Cosmo, don't know who will be there. They could always walk next door and see "O" at Bellagio, and enjoy the sights there
Mirage and Venetian aren't cool and hip enough for 21 year-olds. Cosmo is definitely the place for that age group.

21 year olds aren't into any of that stuff. They want a hip party atmosphere where it's cool to be seen. Cosmopolitan fits that bill 100%

Mare and Stungazed are correct.

I'm stuck in a baby boomer mentality. My parents would never in a million years have brought me to a gambling joint of any kind for any reason. Drinking, partying? Forget about it.

I have to say, though, my first Vegas trip (age 40?)...those iconic hotel casinos were nothing short of magical to me! Still are. Generation gap for sure.
I love most things about Cosmo, but at 55 years old it's the hip party vibe that I DON'T like about it. lol
