Zip line at Fremont Street

Did the Zipline yesterday afternoon. Not busy, since it was midweek afternoon. Great amount of fun. I would do it again, although I thought about backing out when I first got on the platform. :-)
The first rule listed on the door is-no intoxicated people are allowed to ride the Zipline. They have customers check in any large and/or loose belongings. They also have a small, mesh bag that hangs from the back of each harness, which is for loose footwear or other loose items which might not have been checked in before. My point being the ride operators have thought of everything. Including, I'm guessing, video recording every ride. So they can be more certain if something does go wrong.
That sounds great 'ajl623'...THANKS!
I did the zipline out at Bootleg Canyon last summer...SO MUCH FUN! I highly recommend it, although the hike at the beginning and in between the 2nd & 3rd jumps made everyone huff and puff.
You really feel like you're flying.
And afterwards, when eating lunch at the Coffee Cup Cafe in BC (excellent burger & fries) I found they had coupons for the ziplining.

Course...when you're 'zippin' over a canyon or rain forest...that's one thing.
What happens when someone in the crowd below gets something 'dropped' on them?
glasses, keys...Do they scan for drunks? That motion might cause...well, you know.
Getting 'hurled' on at Fremont street could kinda spoil my night.

Are they watching who they let and don't let, ride the thing? Any restrictions?

This sounds like the perfect opportunity for someone to open a skeet-shooting booth.

We did it in December during the day. It was $15 and there was no wait. We asked how they have been doing and was told that they have about 800 people a day. They have been opened 3 months. It was great. They have 4 lines. They also weigh everyone to make sure that you are not over the 250 lb limit.
I saw this in December and it looked like it was a big hit with the kids.

One thing I really dont like about it is the big, zipline stations they plopped down right in the middle of Fremont St. They really ruin the view as you walk up and down the street. It used to be beautiful to stand out front of Fitzgeralds and look all the way down to the Plaza...now that view is blocked by a mamouth, 2-story scafolding for the zip line.

But, whatever. If it gets more people downtown then I applaud it.
I agree, the structure itself takes up alot of room with all the anchoring involved with it. kind of an eyesore with the huge cement anchors on the ground.
Just got back from Costa Rica and survived the zip line experience on the foot hills of the Arenal Volcano. Trust me when I tell you "it's a mega-adrenaline rush." I am talking some spans between 700-1000 meters. Just can't fathom a "wimpy" zip under the canopy. At least on the mountain, you witnessed some awesome vistas. Guess on Fremont Street you get to laugh at drunks.
