The -105 out(s) and why they are so important.

The -105 out(s) and why they are so important. Obviously it's nice to lay only -105. Not so obvious is how these reduced juice shops help you to spot suspect bets. Even if you don't have access to a Pinny or an -105, it is ALWAYS a good idea to review what is out there BEFORE you submit a bet. The reason is that if you are about to lay -110 on a bet you could get -105 or (gulp) -102 it likely isn't very good. These places aren't just giving away money. It is quite a stretch to say "I know Pinny has it -103 BUT I'm in the US so I'm gonna lay -110". Trying to win laying an extra 7 cents than whay you COULD have had, is NOT a good way to try to make money. By contrast, let's say Pinny is -109, and a -105 shop is dealing the side you like -110. NOW, you can be much more confident.......while you are still laying the same vig (-110), you actually are paying much less since the sharp marketplace is saying your side should be the favorite.........effectively saying your side is around a -105 favorite (other guys +105). So NOW even though you are laying -110, in many ways it's like you are paying only 5 cents of juice...... meaning with any handicapping acument you are going to win. Of course, the donk-fest bet (very common in Vegas!) is the bet where you LAY -110, Pinny and others had it -100 AND you get ripped off by an extra 1/2 point. A great example would be the SB this year where Vegas had the total 54 and Pinny UN 53.5-112. Naysayers will also argue it applied to pretty much EVERY Saints home game where Vegas had 56, Pinny UN 55-111, and literally 14 points got scored during the national anthem........
yeah thats the good thing about the pph out there , most of the 05 shops are still very generic - also if you can get reduced juice which applies to halfs and quarts - huge differences in numbers ...
