3rd Round The Open Championship

3rd Round The Open Championship Lucas Glover +100 vs. Darren Clarke Clarke made 5 putts outside of 14 feet and fired the 2nd best round of the day. This is not likely to happen in the final group on Sat. The weather may finally show up on Sat, and either way we are not banking on it here as we did against Stricker and others,.... because Glover is a grinder. Recall him winning the US Open at Bethpage in poor conditions and that win is better than anything Clarke has produced since beating Tiger in the WGC Matchplay 11 years ago. Sure, you could say the Irishman knows and plays links golf much more than Glover from South Carolina, but Glover has been preparing for this event for months. He came up to the UK with Davis Love III (DL3) early and they played various courses all around Scotland etc before coming to Royal St. Georges. Clarke is long in the tooth and yes he has played better of late, but we'll see how he handles the lead pressure and weather.
One of those 5 long putts was a 90 footer for EAGLE!
3rd Round , 0.75% play 7335) Miguel "the most interesting golfer in the world" Angel Jimenez (-105) over Cush tee time P. Larrazabal Larrazabal - his record in Majors so far reads: 70th, mc, mc. However, it must be noted that he has benefitted greatly from the draw. Good Luck
Should be interesting the Glover matchup with Clarke. Just my own thoughts. This is one I think Alf is on the underdog. I'll be surprised if the betting doesn't go towards Clarke. Alf hits every point that is positive for Clarke but I'll state them more positively. (1) Clarke is from Northern Island and lives there and plays links golf in his spare time. (2) He is a good wind player and poor weather player. The weather might be really bad tomorrow. (3) And after a slump he is playing better this year I understand as Alf says. I've heard other players praise Glover as one of the more talented players on the tour and he does have that one major win to his credit. In one round anything can happen but I feel Glover is the dog here. I'm laying off unless I get +110 on Glover and I won't do that if I see it at Pinnacle. At the same time I'm not considering betting Clarke at all.

Another issue is Glover uses no gloves on his hands, gonna be tough in todays conditions.
