92nd PGA Championship

Peanuts, 2nd round. 7235) VJ +135 vs Tiger 7258) Quiros +118 vs Bubba Watson
John Daly withdrew. [B][I]John Daly called it quits seven holes into his second round of the PGA Championship, citing a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. When the horn sounded tonight, JD decided to finish the par-3 7th hole while playing partners Padraig Harrington and Davis Love III looked on. After casually two-putting for par, Daly exchanged cards and shook hands. All that remained was the official word. He was 9-over through 25 holes. On his Twitter page later, he wrote: "thinkin it happened on bunker hole 1, played thru in miserable pain, saw Tour Doc after play & have tore rotator cup [sic] after tests were done ... not sure how long I'm out for---headed to see my Doc early tomorrow for an M.R.I. praying tests show not as bad & all works out ... right shoulder, so painful & swollen the size of a grapefruit--ice on my shoulder & tryin to type w/my left hand." Another nice start, hopefully some bad weather tmrw morning to KO Schwartzel and Garcia as well.
Yes indeed, if the day would have continued Schwartzel and Garcia would have missed the cut by miles.

I have made a couple of small bets This afternoon - All bets made on betfair where theres lots of golf action for non-US players: Winning score -10 or lower: -150 Winner: Jb Holmes: +2500 D. Johnson: +1700 B. Watson: +3800 B. Watson top 10: +175 Soft course should be perfect conditions for low scoring, and especially good for those guys long off the tee.
A friend of mine was a marshal on 18. This is what he said about a key play today: I didn't see it on TV so I have nothing to go by .. but the buzz around the course was there wasn't enough to go by to penalize him. But let's not forget his horrible drive on 18 when all he had to do was par to win. I was marshaling on the 18th tee when he walked by me for his tee shot on 18. He looked perfectly calm and collected. He got on the tee and they had to wait for the group in front to clear the fairway. As soon as they cleared, I swear he addressed and swung with no practice swings or anything. I know he plays fast, but when you've got a major tournament in the bag and all you have to do is par, you may want to take a second ... 18 is a tough hole ... he learned some lessons again today the hard way .. It's amazing how many of these guys looked like they weren't old enough to get a beer afterward ... but they can play their asses off!!
I wanted to thank those of you who posted your golf plays. In particular, it's great to read such focused and relevant info. While I didn't make any plays, I did learn some good info and think that encapsulates the spirit of this board...
