John Daly withdrew.
[B][I]John Daly called it quits seven holes into his second round of the PGA Championship, citing a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
When the horn sounded tonight, JD decided to finish the par-3 7th hole while playing partners Padraig Harrington and Davis Love III looked on. After casually two-putting for par, Daly exchanged cards and shook hands. All that remained was the official word. He was 9-over through 25 holes. On his Twitter page later, he wrote: "thinkin it happened on bunker hole 1, played thru in miserable pain, saw Tour Doc after play & have tore rotator cup [sic] after tests were done ... not sure how long I'm out for---headed to see my Doc early tomorrow for an M.R.I. praying tests show not as bad & all works out ... right shoulder, so painful & swollen the size of a grapefruit--ice on my shoulder & tryin to type w/my left hand."
