A 21-year-old woman was injured and taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit Thursday after she was hit in the head by an airplane propeller at McCarran International Airport.
McCarran spokesman Chris Jones said the injury occurred about 4:30 p.m. on the west side of the airport. He said the woman was hit on the head by a propeller from a private Beechcraft Bonanza plane.
The extent of the woman’s injuries wasn't known. The incident didn't affect activity at the airport, Jones said.
