Allen Green vs Glen Johnson (10/6) What a worthless fight this is. Both of these guys are replacement fighters in the "Super 6" tournament among some of the elite Super Middleweights. Allan Green simply sucks. Well that is a bit of an over statement. Allan Green is better then a journeyman but no where near the elite. Glen Johnson is ancient but well preserved fighter. Johnson took this fight, because.. well... Johnson takes EVERY fight. Johnson has been fighting at 175 for about 5 years and this fight will happen at 168. Word is 1 week prior to this fight Johnson was at 169. Weight will not be an issue for Johnson in this fight. This seems like a gift fight. Green's only real chance in this fight is to KO Johnson. Almost no one has even rocked Johnson let alone KO him. Green is a low volume puncher and he simply doesn't throw enough punches to win a decision. This looks like an easy one... (famous last words) Johnson to win 3 units is what I bet. If you need to straddle look to get a bet on Green inside the distance. GL

It has been reported that Green looked weigh drained yet again. He really never was a great fighter and having a large part of his intestines removed 3 years ago didn't help.

Mosley, who is basically slow and shot beat his ass, and Roberto Garcia lasted the full 10 rounds. In his last fight, Margarito looked like he was punching underwater. His hand and foot speed where terrible. Margarito is an old 32 with 16 years in the ring. Pacquiao hasn't shown any real deterioration and only seems to get better as he's moved up in weight. The first question I ask myself about fights is... WHY is this fight happening? I think the answer is simple, Pacquiao wouldn't have taken this fight without REALLY thinking that it won't be all that hard of a fight; while getting a great payday. Margarito brings the Mexican fans and they and the rest of the world will pay through the nose for the PPV. I may not be able to pass on the HUGE plus number, but I really don't give Margarito much of a chance of winning. He's simply to slow. Number looks tasty, but Pacquiao is just far better then this version of Margarito. If you want to bet Margarito, bet him inside the distance. That is the only way he'll win and the number is even better. +500 on 5dimes currently. I predict that Pacquiao will win via UD or a late stoppage. Seems like a lot of hype about Margarito. I don't believe that he was ever really that talented, and Pacquiao's foot-speed will likely embarrass Margarito.
