Antonio Escalante vs Daniel Ponce De Leon 9/18 This is one of the fights on the PPV tonight.
Escalante is an excellent boxer. De Leon has fought the much better competition including holding the WBO featherweight belt as recently as 2008.
I think De Leon hasn't really been the same since Lopez brutally KO'd him a few years ago even though he has 5 straight wins since.
These two have a recent common opponent. Cornleius Lock. In De Leon's last fight he won a narrow UD against Lock. 13 months ago Escalante won virtually every round against Lock.
I make Escalante the better boxer, and I believe De Leon has faded a bit. He's had a lot of fights for a 30 year old (41)
