Austalian Men's Final

Austalian Men's Final Just wondering if anyone out there could shed some light on the matchup and the odds? I'm not a large tennis fan and have not seen too many matches but I've seen Murray play and Djokovic a little bit and was surprised the odds are over -150 at Pinnacle on Djokovic to win. If the reasons are that Djokovic upset Federer and has won a major, those would be items I respect but just from viewing the players seem pretty close to each other in ability. I was told Djokovic has a 4-3 career edge but one victory on clay which I would discount. Murray has won the past 3 matchups between them I was also told. That is my 2 cents. Anyone else?

My opinion... Djokovic is likely to win but the longer it goes the better it is for Murray. Djokovic just seems to me to be just a little bit better and since winning the Davis Cup his confidence has soared.

I'm going to pass, wouldn't surprise to see either guy win, small edge to The Joker who has had an extra day of rest. Murray had a gruling match wih Ferrer at 3 hours and 45 minutes for only 4 sets and each point was max rally. Can't stand watching The Joker and his 15-20 bounces of the ball before he serves.

Thanks. I went to the ATP tour page and some of the grand old names of tennis like Newcombe are on Djokovic. He was the most in favour calling it in straight sets. I wasn't aware of the Davis Cup victory. That was mentioned as well. Ironically, Henri Leconte who I remember as a player said it was about 60-40 for Djokovic so perhaps there is a link there to the line...just saying. One contrarian was Brad Gilbert who was on Murray in 5 sets. And he made reference I think to truushot's point which wasn't elaborated was that the heat favours Murray as Djokovic apparently has been more unstable in that weather. I'll see what develops. I want to bet Murray but I also recognize I'm no expert here. I think if I get +150 I'll throw a little on Murray.

I'm far from a tennis expert but I was confidently on Djokovic. Thought he would win but didnt know it would be that easy. Thanks for the Dallas cash Alf!!
