Cantor Gaming/William Hill, all in but does someone else have the Nuts?

Cantor Gaming/William Hill, all in but does someone else have the Nuts? Wow, what an event filled year in Nevada. Cantor Gaming has invested multimillions, now having operations in four Las Vegas Casinos; they started with the M, and have since added the Tropicana, the Cosmo, and the Hard Rock. Innovative Products (in running wagering, inside wagers (reduced vigorish), not to mention mobile gaming. Hard on their Heels, William Hill just spent 50 millions to aquire the veteran brands of Cal Neva (mostly Northern Nevada based) and LeRoy's (their everywhere......EXCEPT in Reno). And finally Lucky's. CLEARLY, the books are counting on the legalization of online betting in Nevada to turn a business profit, and Federal legalization, would turn this into a bonanza. HOWEVER...........what is going to happen if a matchbook.com clone enter the marketplace, and starts changing -101 on all the games in their pricing, and just takes a 1-2% commission? This would be a huge blow to these places, and would rob them of a HUGE amount of volume. Further, the matchbook.com model requires little cost, you don't need any oddsmakers since you just match up people. It will be interesting what transpires, but given Nevada makes up only 1% or so of Nevada's Gaming win (and even places with huge recreational clients like Caesar's have basically given up trying to win with high limits in Nevada), it is very hard for me to think they can pull this off financially without the US legalization online. Bottom line, it will be a disaster if mo online Nevada gaming is approved. IT will also likely be a big loss if only Nevada online gaming is approved in the near future, no ability to go to the other states. If it opens up to the US, it likely will be a very profitable business! I would forecast a bonanza, BUT the possibility of a Matchbook.com then entering would really cut into the profits.......who is going to buy something for $100 when they can buy the identical product for $25? It is amazing that books that basically were barely breathing to stay in business like LeRoy's could command a 20mm sale.........
I was at the Montbleu in Tahoe 10 days ago. It's a Cal-Neva book there. They're very excited about in-game wagering. (I used to work with one of their managers back when she was a bartender at the old Caesars Tahoe.) I cannot wait to see what happens next. There's clearly a fork in the road ahead.
Leroy's & Lucky's "It is amazing that books that basically were barely breathing to stay in business like LeRoy's could command a 20mm sale"......... And Lucky's 17 mil - - - Makes you want to open a book for a year & then get bought out....
William Hill is pretty big on horseracing action across the pond. Props, futures. etc. I'm hoping they follow suit here.
