Chisora vs. Sexton (9/18) Chisora who you may remember from the money we won on him beating Danny Williams and if memory serves we had the UNDER correct on that fight as well. He's an African born, British citizen.
Sexton, another British fighter has, at least on paper, two semi-quality wins against Martin Rogan. The problem is my notes said that Sexton was out on his feet in the first fight when the fight was stopped do to swelling of Rogan's left eye. Review of the tape confirmed that Sexton was done when the fight was stopped, the referee interfered on Sexton's behalf and even though Rogan's eye looked like a giant zit on a 15 years face that was ready to pop, the referee had no business pausing the fight at that point to have the eye checked again. They fought again, and that time the fight ended from an accidental headbutt in the 5th.
A few years back these two fought each other. Chisora won via TKO in the 6th and final round of that fight. I watched the tape and it was a very even fight for the first 4 rounds, I had Chisora winning the 5th clearly as Sexton faded badly and the referee stopped it late in the 6th round.
Both fighters have 6 or more fights since their first meeting. Normally I'd just toss out the results from the first fight as it was very early in both of their careers. My only hesitation is that it was another case of Sexton being completely gassed at the end of the fight.
I'm going with Chisora to win again. 2.4 units to win 1 (-240) I just don't think that Sexton has the power to stop Chisora and it seems he doesn't have the endurance to go the distance.
I also bet the UNDER 9.5 for 2 units (-120)
Sexton gassed at 6 rounds the first time, he gassed in the 8th in his first fight against Rogan. (when I say gassed, I mean he could hardly raise his hands up he was so tired.)
I was tempted by the UNDER 7.5 on bodog at +120 but it seemed more prudent to take the extra two rounds.
Chisora does have some question marks about his desire, I just don't think Sexton can keep Chisora off of him for 12 rounds.
