Churchill Downs - Breeders Cup Friday

Churchill Downs - Breeders Cup Friday Churchill - Race 4 #5 Colizeo (3/1 ml) This Pletcher colt looks to be rounding into top form, finishing strongly to score a sharp win @ Belmont last time out, then following that up on his recent worktab, working heads-up with Life at Ten (7/2 second-choice in the Ladie's Classic) on Oct 23 and then heads-up with R Heat Lightning (4/1 second-choice in the Juvenile Fillies). Also note that Colizeo loves Churchill Downs, as he's just a nose away from being 3-for-3 over the local surface, with all three races coming at today's distance. Expecting a good run here.
DC, watched Winter Memories last race, she was shot out of a cannon, huge move, 2-1 currently in the Juvy Fillies Turf, your thoughts? I also like Sara Louise in the F&M Sprint... Any other Friday Breeders Cup plays?
I loved Winter Memories, i mentioned on my site that i thought she had a chance to be the day's most impressive winner. I wasn't real happy with the price though, i thought she'd go higher. Truth be told, she definitely should've won the race. She just got caught in some trafic and couldn't get into the clear until the other filly already had several lengths on her. That's my primary concern with Zenyatta tomorrow, btw. Moreso than the competition, or the new surface. Sara Louise was my second choice in the F&M Sprint (i was on Switch).
My old man hit the pick 4 1 dollar (20 percent in my pocket) 13 1 1 7 for just about 1100.00. happy days!!!

Z made a great run and I think she definitely won over most of the naysayers. My wallet was happy Blame won (we had the p4, p3 and a number of other plays into Blame) but I won't pretend I wasn't a little bit sad Z didn't get up in time. Oh well, she put on a great show as always and I'm just glad I got to see her run.
I remember back a couple of summers ago I signed up for DiscreetCat's horse picks and it was my first time to really tune into the California races on directv to watch. One day he gave out this horse named Zenyatta in what had to be one of her earlier races. I didn't know shit about horse racing, but seeing her come from the back to blow away the other horses in the race it sure seemed like she was different. At the time, I brushed it off thinking a bunch of winners probably look like that if you watch a lot of racing. Turns out she was pretty darn special.
Do you guys think Mike Smith rode a good race on her? Wondering what others think. I thought it was bad.
already stated this in other thread below earlier - he rode a shocker - she's 10 lengths now 15L now 20L down - wondering when he was going to pick her up - he got it wrong this time, will admit this later no doubt
cleaned house on that race with matchups and fixed odds (z +400 and blame +650). i may have a biased tilt based on that particular race being my second largest single horserace windfall, but sure felt like an epic race that will go down as one of the best in history. great call by trevor into the stretch to top it off. blame and zenyatta, now both retired, will be in one last showdown for horse of the year. blame's year was impeccable and is no doubt deserving of the title, but im guessing z gets hoy honors based on her historical accomplishments, what she has done for horseracing in general and payback for the rachel shunning of 2009. now will somebody please help me find a 3x4 foot photo of that wire shot so i can hang it in my war room.
I don't blame Smith. That's Z's MO and it how she's run 95% of her races. She found herself further behind because she was facing the best the industry had to offer and the race was on dirt instead of synthetic. If anything, JS should be blamed for not correcting Z's bad habit of walking out of the gate but, personally, I think that's Z being Z and part of her charm and is part of what makes her so exciting to watch. End of the day, I give credit to Blame and GG for a great race and ride and to Stall for knowing CD and using his home-track advantage by instructing GG to do what it takes to get the lead at the 1/8th pole (and for GG making it happen).
