CIty Center, Disaster Looming??

Why spend 8.5 billion to build 6, I think its 6, towers and 1 casino? Casino is where the profit comes from, yes? 8.5 billion to build a casino in between several other casino/resorts you already own? huh? It just really does not stop being insanely stupid no matter how you think of it. I was thinking about its history, am I wrong or remembering wrong when I say city center when pitched on the drawing board years ago was supposed to be unlike anything Vegas had ever seen? In that it would be a resort where you would never need to leave for whatever you wanted, sort of like Disney World, not the park, but the whole resort-park complex. Once you are there you dont need to leave. They have grocery stoes, drug stores, medical care etc. There is nothing you would need to leave for during your trip. Since they have so many condos at City Center, where are those type stores for the potential residents? Live in a condo there, you want groceries? Have to fight traffic to get to a Smiths miles away. There is one west of the Orleans. Then fight traffic to get back. Sounds like oodles of fun, especially on a daily basis. What shopping did they actually deliver? If you live at City Center, or for hotel guests, need a quart of milk, long drive ahead. Wife wants an $8,000 purse? Yup that they have at Crystals. Ever see the Fresh and Easy stores in Vegas? They are small grocery stores. Not convenience stores, grocery. How do you build a 8.5 billion resort, much of it in condos and not BEG fresh and easy to open a store in the complex for the convenience of your residents? Obviously they would jump at it. I thought that is the type of complex that was planeed long ago? Instead they built a colassal complex to house one casino and shopping only for super rich luxury items. A city center, it aint. Sorry for the soapbox rants, just bugs me too to see something that Las Vegas does so badly need to go well be such a monument to stupidity. Advantage gamblers need a healthy industry. Las Vegas needs the jobs and the 10,000 employees there and their families need it to suceed.
Subtract the added juice from the value of the 2.5 points on the total, the low limits and the tread you wore off your nikes, and the gas, and you got enough value to buy 2 dead flies. What does the bet winning have to do with the trip being worth it? EV and results are two different things. I'm going to have to ask you to turn in your sharp license. Report to the rail.
um, wtf are you talking about? I bet it at NY-NY. I walked to City Center to see the place. I bet it again there when I saw the line. If you dont like -120 on a line that Helmut or RAS or whoever was behind that dropped 2.5 points thats your business.
um, wtf are you talking about?
Ok, since you can't take a hint, I'll tell you. I was trying to downplay the value of the bet. Yes, Sherlock, it is a good bet. But how sharp is it to post on an open forum about lines way off WA, name the book that apparently lets you bet them freely, and at a place you'll never have any problem getting paid?
I got lucky on the timing of my visit. Nothing earth shaking about that. Congrats to me. They typically do move quicker. I take it you dont live in Vegas. Cant say I care for your tone, but I will drop it.

were they a bit sleepy? sure. Typical? no. like any place, you can sometimes get a good bet, especially with the way some of the heavyweights shove college hoops around.
fyi, helmut just barely ahead on his cbb plays this season. when you factor in you're laying -20 it;s prolly not a very good bet.

Lets keep the talk positive, need I remind the effects felt in las vegas after Obama announced" nobody should even think about going to las vegas on tax payers money", ninety conventions were effected, we just don't need to beat up city center right now, we need it badly for our recovery. I really like how many jobs were created.
How can they not have a Whole Foods in Crystals? How are people going to get food who live there?
