After reading about it for months, I just walked thru City Center. One casino for all those buildings? WTF? Now I understand why nobody's impressed. The casino wasn't bad, but the overall development lacks any real identity.
As someone else posted previous, Race & Sports book was small, but not bad for drinks at all. No drink tickets, and they kept em coming. I was there most of a race card. Both waitresses were very pleasant to the patrons. With 3 tellers, no problems getting shut out.
If you're hungry, go for breakfast around 10:30. At $15, it switches to a nice spread for lunch at 11 am. Got that last bit of advice from the LVA newsletter.
Considering they spent billions, I'm not sure what they're going to do. After they get the rest of it built, maybe things will improve. Still, I wouldn't bet on it.
