Comments on Fez's Twitter account This is fun to see Fez talk more. This thread is for anyone to share comments on his tweeting opinions.
I'll get the party started: "If your betting strategy is to subscribe to a tout service and mirror their plays, save some time and money, sharpen a crayon, and play Keno" seriously? I've made far more money using certain touts than I have here on LVA. I'd venture to say many have as well. "Get away from the hustle and bustle of the strip and treat yourself to a stay at The M -- Cantor runs the best sportsbook in Vegas" Agree "If you have money offshore, it's time to consider pulling it out........too many problems, and if no NFL we will see some books cut and run" Good advice "the typical tout takes the peanut buttter approach, spread too thin over 4 sports, has no edge, but gets hot in 1 due to luck, than hypesit" Agree "Want to verify the performance of your favorite handicapper? Check how he has done in contests. No entries or strong finishes? Bad sign." This is nonsense. Contests, as everyone knows, are on stale lines and show no real ability to beat WA lines, which is what a good handicapper needs to do. "Have access to an out at -105, it's pure gold! 51.3% gets you into the black. You can hit 51.3% just going opposite some notorious losers." You can do far, far, far better than 51% fading Brandon Lang. "Best handicapper win rate last three years? Hard to go wrong with RAS, but numbers move 2 points within 7 seconds of his totals releases!!" I've shared the names of 3 handicappers who handicap NFL, a tougher sport to beat than CBB, all of which are far and above RAS's win %, even going back 5 years. Not knocking RAS (although I'm not using them again), moreso trying to give credit where its due. "Sleep is a luxury most sharps do not have they call it WORK for a reason!" And its far easier to sleep and party and buy plays from a winning sharp handicapper! "Never base your opinion on what teams did years past. Only the present and future matter." I found this interesting, especially when Fez then tweeted his records from 2008 and 2009 handicapping contests vs. stale numbers. Fez - I love ya but honestly, this handpicking records to market your site is below you.
I would like to counter the spirit of the attempted direction of this thread with something useful. I think Fezzik is Fantastic, and not to sound gay, but the guy has impacted my life for the positive, and I really appreciate him taking the time, and recognizing that this was a useful concept. He had to have strong vision to see it through and I appreciate it because I didn't have a clue what the first step, second step, the direction one should go to get really good. I was literally searching and searching for months for a resource just like this. Here you get the benefit to sit back and learn, interact, or anything in between. Fezzik says he wants to make this the best product of its kind out there, I say there's already nothing even close. He doesn't really owe us anything, so look at it as a favor, not worth the ration of shit about things like handpicking records -- newsflash Ice Tea -- Life is one big round of handpicking records, some of us just have better ones from which to choose. This is a great resource, with or without the plays...I'm not sure, but I don't really think it is a picks site (comedy).

I'm being serious that I do like the fez twitter account. Get to see a different side to him. But it's perfectly reasonable not to agree with 100% of what he says. This thread is more to start conversation on what he posts at Twitter, cause a lot of it is very intersting and worth more discussion. I do like this site. my experience has been more interesting. Seeing Fez kick ass in the hilton contest in 2008, I thought he was a real sharp and I'd make solid $ following his plays especially NFL. He is good, don't get me wrong, but is not as good as what I initially thought. Maybe i was just hoping 4 too much. His NFL stuff the last 2 years has been breakeven/average type stuff, and I'm hoping he crushes it next year. His nba stuff this year has been average until about 3 weeks ago when he's been on a massive roll... I guess I now understand what fez says that its so hard to beat 55%, mainly because its so hard for him to do. That said, he does play a ton of games which makes it harder. And the tough part, unlike many handicappers i've seen, is Fez puts his own bankroll and bets first and gives us leftovers in some cases. Whereas some other cappers see a great line and give it out to clients when they see it. Fez will bet that line, move it and by the time we can bet it, it's moved. Same thing he criticizes RAS for. The other thing you are saying I really wasn't thinking I'd find here, and that is "learning from Fez how to win". I never thought he'd share his closest held secrets on how to win. And he hasn't. So i don't understand what you mean when you say that you've learned: "what the first step, second step, the direction one should go to get really good" When has he shared: hard rock, this is what you should look for when you bet the NFL. Here's the steps to do to find some value in a line? Never. He shares random strategy in the NBA let's say, and he has gotten better IMO and sharing more stuff lately with NBA, but my question is: will it continue for NFL? Because that's pretty much when he retreats into a shell and shares a few plays here and there late in the week (as in Saturday night) and little to no analysis. He can be really good in NFL, so that's where I'd like to see more sharing. i pay for this site not cause the money is nothing to me, because i am NOT a big bankroll guy. I wanted to find a site for really sharp winning plays that would net me profit. But its "not a picks site". Yet the past records on our left is what is used to promote the site, so that's a bit misleading. The most I think i get out of the ste is feeling connected to what the top guys in the industry think. Which is good and which I like. Now, back on topic... "Welll, Pinny no good for US (but I agree) and DOJ hammering on Bookmaker as I type this......and HUGE downgrade past this." You don't like CRIS/5Dimes? These are 2 of my favorites "Went over the 100 HIlton NFL GOYS, and only found 3 bets (lines off).HIlton has some damn sharp Oddsmakers...wish Harrah's tried to do this!" Why don't you think any offshore will do it? CRIS is usually at the forefront of this type of thing for NFL, no?
now understand what fez says that its so hard to beat 55%, mainly because its so hard for him to do. C'MON MaaYYYuuuhhhhN!!!!!! "...some other cappers see a great line and give it out to clients when they see it. Fez will bet that line, move it and by the time we can bet it, it's moved. Same thing he criticizes RAS for.." Seriously? well then what would you suggest? He give it out on the board to his minions, let them bang it, then he get the leftovers -- he's a pro gambler! And if any scenario like this occurrs, maybe 10% of them get the right number, the other 90% whom aren't waiting by their computers for a play still get the bad number anyway...it isn't a pick service and I'm pretty sure he isn't a tout. I will agree wholeheartedly with the RAS thing, not sure of the inference with them here, but they are about the third ever, and first in years, service I use (tried to use). And if there are seven seconds there to get the line than it is an impossibility for me to get a bet in within 7 seconds, because I NEVER got one number they released and I was waiting with the book online open and I was on "greased lightning full auto" mode...long tern he was like 13-7, but one of his wins wa a loss for me, and one was a push. So now 13-7 becomes 11-8-1, basically a losing proposition. "I never thought he'd share his closest held secrets on how to win. And he hasn't." the way I get it, the really really good stuff always has as shelf life, so here again what would the two scenarios be...? see above on releasing killer lines vs betting them first. I'd say he's brought plenty of other stuff to the table and again the point is to draw the connection yourself how it is similar/ different one to another. He's trainin you how to think man...we have the tools, we have the technology (Blues Bros hehe) "But its "not a picks site". Yet the past records on our left is what is used to promote the site, so that's a bit misleading" I just don't see the relation, I mean to site your record here and there..I mean personally, if I had that record, I'd change my name to Timothius Back To Back Hilton Winner @#!$ (last name witheld for security purposes and anonymity ;-)..that's just the ABC's of life Ice Tea, if you're breathing -- you're self-promoting, period I will agree with you on the lack of content on NFL, but I seem to notice a change in philosophy with Fezz which happened between last football season and now. I think he brings more next year, and again try and look at it from a learning perspective vs. a service that you profit from the plays, yet still gives you a chance to get down on some good shit from time to time. Try to discern for yourself what are the best plays, after all, it is your money. Answer me this, when, as a rule, do you tend to fade steam and when do you go with it? One thing Fezzz has tried to do in every sport is point out the ways to spot sharp vs square plays and the effect of each to the market...timing the market, you've got The Dude bringing it on a regular basis...are you noticing he bets 1% to 3% per play? that's because of variance...I'm pretty sure they took a few lumps to know that this is an appropriate portion. Go a little easier, ride it out, look a little deeper along the way, there's a lot of good stuff here.
