Contest 1A - Week 3: Official Picks Thread We are going to go with $100 each of the next two weeks. Must pick every game played Sun and Mon against the spread. Best record after tiebreakers gets $100 this week. Best record after tiebreakers gets $100 next week. If the same person wins both weeks they get a $200 bonus. First tiebreaker is your Best Bet. Indicate it somehow next to the pick. Second tiebreaker is the total on MNF. Closest to the actual total wins the tie. Third tiebreaker is timestamp on post. Best way to go about listing your picks would probably be to just copy and paste the lines below and then edit it to reflect your picks. No edits on the posts after hitting submit so make sure you get it right the first time and don't forget your Best Bet. Submission deadline is 10am pacific time Sundays. Anthony and I will play. We are not eligible for cash but we can knock the possibility of a bonus out by finishing first either week. To get the extra $200 one has to finish 1st both weeks vs everyone. Just to confirm, we've postponed the contest, due to the problems we've had over the past three days. Too many who wanted to play couldn't log on. Even Frank and I couldn't put up picks. Hopefully the problem is now solved. We'll start it off next week.

May I ask for a small clarification on "the Best Bet". Using last wks NFL results as a measuring stick......would Atl's 56 - 14 win over TB be a better win than Pitt's 37 - 19 upset over Caro? The most competitive gm was Phil beating Wash w/ whoever had the ball last probably winning it......but then...you said "Best bet. Not most competitive. In my eyes...those were the 2 Best Gms played. What do you think??

Best Bet is just used as a tie-breaker. If you win your bets bet and the person you are tied with loses his, then you win the tiebreaker. Margin of victory does not matter. If you both win or lose your best bet then we move to the next tiebreaker, the MNF total. if you tie there it's the earliest timestamp that wins.
