This pick is more about Darchinyan then about Perez. Darchinyan hasn't had elite power since stepping up in weight class and Perez does have a good chin. I cannot see Darchinyan outboxing Perez. Darchinyan is always looking for the big left and really doesn't have much else to offer at the highest levels. I think that Perez will outbox Darchinyan and that he does have the ability and sytle to take/avoid Darchinyan's best shots. Yes Darchinyan could get the KO. Yet another unsatisfactory ending to a fight. Darchinyan was dominating the action for the first four rounds but I had the sense that he was fading, not that Perez seemed to have the ability to take advantage of it. Darchinyan, who often leads with his head, butted Perez, opening a wide cut and the fight gets stopped via Technical Decision. As soon as I saw that the ring was a 17 foot ring I hedge my bet with Darchinyan via KO. That didn't work so well either.
