David Haye vs John Ruiz

David Haye vs John Ruiz David Haye a newly crowned HW belt holder is fighting a former belt holder. Ruiz is now 38 and it isn't a young 38. Haye is growing into a true heavyweight after a good career at Cruiser Weight. This fight really comes down to one thing. Haye wouldn't take this fight, after ducking the Klitschko brothers, without being almost certain that he'll win this fight. The odds suggest that many recognize this without understanding it. Haye fought Valuev like a turd and will most likely be able to put on a good show against Ruiz though Ruiz can make for an awkward fight. Haye is the better boxer and the the 8 inch reach will be telling. The Bet Haye -600
Fight is April 3rd.
Ruiz down twice in the first. One from a rabbit punch (punch to back of head). Ruiz was down a few other times in the fight. Ruiz's corner finally stopped the fight as Ruiz just wasn't connecting and was taking a bit to much punishment. Haye winner by TKO.
WHen they age it gets hard. Ruiz rarely got hurt when he fought. He could take a great punch. Now with age he goes down from a rabbit punch.

Look, I'm no Haye fan, remove all the KD's and Haye is still dominating the fight. Ruiz can take a great punch. It wasn't the ref that stopped the fight it was his corner. He was taking a beating. Age catches up with all of us. 18 years fighting, 50 plus fights, that is why Haye selected him to fight. Other then mandatory fights, they hand pick their opponents. If you could hand pick your opponent would you pick someone that you didn't think you could beat?

You take a beating especially in boxing. Other sports you can play less minutes or a lesser role. In boxing you are out there one on one with a guy much younger and sharper. You also lose your edge from being inactive. I bet Hopkins/Jones will be closer than they think. Odds are huge but I am just guessing.
