Devils/Thrashers Tues. March 15 Like a repeating record I've put some money down on the Thrashers at +1.5-161 against the Devils. The Devils got the OT win on Saturday against NY Islanders and their superb run continues.
The Devils have become probably the best hockey team to sharp bettors in a long time at least for certain types of bets. This team was at the bottom of the standings in January so as an underdog player many of the early games in their winning run they were large underdogs. As they have continued to win, their prices IMO are completely inflated as favourites. They've rewarded underdog bettors on the puckline as their last 9 games as they have gone 7-2 but each of their 7 wins by a single goal.
Atlanta just played the Devils last week and lost 3-2 in OT. The return match is in New Jersey. The Devils are once again almost a 2:1 favourite to win this game. Atlanta's very recent form has been better and my own odds might make the odds -140 for the Devils but their form is extraordinary I would go higher but laying -190 is just out of the question.
