Farmers Insurance Open One early matchup that I liked at the opener was Marc Leishman over Bud Cauley. The market opened -105 each way. I didn't bet it and left it as I often do and was surprised to see that Cauley had gone up to -124 so Leishman was plus money (+112). Sounded like a bad idea. I decided I did want some Leishman at the + money and making me happy is that someone beat me to it. I bet +105 but I'll hope someone sharp saw that price and jumped.
A couple of reasons I like Leishman here is that I think he's in better form right now. He's opened the season with a couple of T25's and was in the T10 at the Sony. LY Cauley did do well at this tournament finishing 13th but Leishman was T10 in 2010 and a co runner up before that. He seems like a hot player right now. The weather may not be good on the weekend and I read it might be cool and possibly a little windy. I've read Leishman is one of the top wind players.
Cauley had a heckuva hot streak last year and he doesn't seem as hot as Leishman now but it is not a mis match. I thought about it at -105. I probably would have bet it. I might lay -110 or even as high as -115 but the play seems okay to me at + money.
