Game over...
Haas bogeys 17 as well.
Guy just can't close a round to save his life...
4 over 16-17-18 yesterday and today, and he hasn't even played 18 today yet.
Joke
Question for ALF- Why didn't Phil wait to hit his second until after Watson finished the 18th? He laid up and then Watson made his putt, meaning Phil needed an eagle to tie and force a playoff. I mean, what's the worst that happens, he hits it in the water, bogeys the hole, and finishes in a tie for second.
Yes, Phil should have waited and gone for the green after Bubba made his putt, MAJOR blunder there.
Haas gets up and down for birdie on 18 giving us hope for a push, and Mahan makes a 12 footer while the cameras are on Bubba...for a kick in the head.
2 shot lead with 3 holes to go should have been MIB........cripes!
How about Faldo saying "bottom line is, Bubba makes this putt and he wins". HUH?? This was even before Phil hit his second shot. Nance quickly pointed out that Phil could still make eagle and tie.
Better late than never... Fowler played as I expected him to all week.
A note about Torrey...
These guys make this course look easy, it is not. The rough was the ultimate equalizer, as we saw it crush the hopes of AK,Vegas,Titty, and Rickie Bobby. Hats off to Bubba for hitting the pink stick all week, unbelievable strength.
