Fed Ex Cup Playoffs The Barclays

Fed Ex Cup Playoffs The Barclays The Fed Ex Cup playoffs begin with The Barclays and again it is held at a different golf course than the previous year and next year they will play it at the famed Bethpage Black GC in New York. So, previous experience on this track is zero. The Plainfield CC is a par 71, 6,964 yard tight course with severe sloping greens. Driving Accuracy may be one of the keys this week on this demanding Donald Ross course but we'll say putting is No. #1. Adam Scott -120 vs. Nick Watney I didn't find much in the way of matchups that I liked this week, as we wind down the golf season with football already in 2nd gear. I would have played Brendon de Jonge over G Mac, but missed the opener of -144. We are banking on Scott to continue his super play with Stevie on the bag. He is a better driver of the ball than Watney, forget the stats here, he is longer and straighter for sure, plus the long putter is taking over on the PGA Tour and Scott's confidence is at an all time high with the flat stick. Important to note and follow is the Fed Ex Cup standings and how they work. Anyone that wins the Tour Championship in the Top 5 wins the $10 mil and the Cup. Watney is at a huge advantage being No.#1 on the list and could coast for a couple of weeks. In fact, Watney could miss the cut and still be at top the Fed Ex Cup list this week. Yes, it's tough to knock a guy that has been as consistent as he has shown this season, but he is very erratic with the driver and we like the spot with Scott here.
Brendan de Jonge is -122 over G Mac right now at 5 Dimes reduced juice menu. I won't put words in your mouth here that it is a play you recommend to the board but I might bet a little of it based on your comments here. Line dropped to -112 I bet it there. Haven't done any work on this just betting Alf's opinion in here. (Bet Scott as well price is available.) Just as a note De Jonge I see rose as high as -190 on this matchup vs. G Mac.
added Brendon de Jonge -120 vs. Graeme McDowell Ernie Els -120 vs Retief Goosen..........twitter report has the Goose with a broken toe after trying to put his boat away due to up-coming hurricane.
Did de Jonge fail to post today? Can't find him in the scoring but can't see where he withdrew from the tourney....

I show him teeing off at 12:33 PM.
thanks totally missed it after not seeing him listed alphabetically.
Looks like Hurricane is going to be a factor soon enough, play already suspended.
announced this afternoon that the tourney will be reduced to 54 holes.

Question about scoring today at PGA Barclays With the weather already in Jersey, is it true that if they do not finish...they revert back to the 36 hole scores and in that case Kuchar would win? Thanks
