Gotta Love Harrah's (or what do you get for losing $175 million)

On the lawsuit Its not so much the line
So the casino has no responsibility to stop serving impaired people? In Illinois, bartenders can and do get ticketed and can be sued for over serving patrons. I'd think if any lawsuit landed in federal court over this issue the casino's would lose and lose ugly.
on serving impaired patrons. Unless guy can prove he was smashed-subjective in most cases. (if they supplied narcotics-they are DOA IMO, but proof?)If guy had this I think we would never have read about it. Harrahs would be in very deep doo doo. They have denied it-I believe their end. Again, no way they pursue if there was any shot this took place. The lawsuit can be successful based on the fact that the bad check unit gets 10% of anything they collect. Talk about a conflict of interest.
I read about this a while back. One of Harrah's employees did give him some sort of prescription narcotic. Maybe Oxy? But it was his personal prescription and not by order of Harrah's. But they did have the guy's picture up all over the employee areas of the casino and it said to stop everything you are doing if this man needs something. I'm all about personal responsibility, but I do think Harrah's is somewhat responsible for this. When I stayed there, there was a promo running constantly with their CEO saying that Harrah's supports responsible gaming. I don't know how they can keep running that promo when they obviously fleeced this guy for everything he was worth.
how long did it take to lose this much? were calls withheld from people close to him? if drugs were brought to him perscribed in his name why were they in posession of them. How could this guy be so stupid, you make all this money by being smart then piss it all away like that, reminds me of what Rick Pitino once said "I spent all my money on women and horses the rest I just pissed away".
