The Greenbrier Classic This event is the newest tournament on the PGA Tour. Last week in Canada the St. George CC was a par 70 and 7,040 yards, this week the Old White Course in White Sulphur Springs, W Va...is also a par 70 measuring 7,031 yards with 3 par 5's and closing with a par 3!
Similar in distance yes, but smaller greens and not nearly as hilly as St. George, we expect the Old Course to surrender hundreds of birdies and a winning score around -22 under par.
[B]Charlie Wi -120 [/B]vs Carl Pettersson
Wi has been MIB, money in the bank if you have been playing him in matchups lately. He has posted 2 Top 10's in his last three starts and was T4 LW in Canada.
His total in those L4 starts is -38 under par.
CP is a hit and miss kind of guy and yes he won last week and you can say he hit but he made the cut on the number and nearly missed in the same event. Rarely do winners of the previous week play well the following week and we know CP can throw down the pints with the best of them. I predict he bounces this week and misses the cut.
