Juanma Lopez vs Concepcion (7/10)

Juanma Lopez vs Concepcion (7/10) This is a mismatch. I don't care that Concepcion has been training with Freddie Roach. He's under sized, doesn't have lethal power or speed facing a prime Champion in Lopez. Lopez not only is bigger, stronger and faster, he's fighting at home. I've read a few places that Roach has been training Concepcion to fight like Pacquiao. Quickly jumping in and punching and then getting out just as quickly. Should we call Roach a pattern teacher? I've always thought Freddie Roach was over rated as a trainer. The advantages he has is that he gets the best fighters in his gym and he helps select beatable/flawed fighters. I know he's told more then a few fighters to vacate there belts to avoid mandatory fights. I'm usually willing to give the Roach fighter the nod but it is usually from fight selection not his skills as a trainer. Getting off the rant and back to the fight. Lopez is -1700 at 5dimes, -1200 at TheGreek, and our bet... -600 on Bodog. How the hell they got to that number is beyond me but I'll take it. 6 units to win 1 Juan Manuel (juanma) Lopez

We lost on the first fight of the parlay but easily won every other fight. Antwone Smith apparently was fighting some illness prior to the fight that was known to the announcers though I never saw anything about it. It was telling. He looked slow and fought a fight he shouldn't have. In a very short but exciting fight. Lopez was dominating the first round scoring 1 knockdown. He got caught trying to finish Concepcion and got dropped right near the end of the first round. Lopez again dropped Concepcion in the first minute of the second round and then finished him off later in the second. -.24 Unit on the night. There a lot of very good fights coming so if you are interested we will find a way to make some money.
