Khan vs Malignaggi

Khan vs Malignaggi Amir Khan the WBA light Welterweight champion (paper champion?) takes on one of the most hated boxers out there in Paulie Malignaggi. Personally I detest him. He's couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper bag and can't stop from running his mouth nonstop. That being said, he's a decent fighter. He does well against slower fighters that he can outbox. (Diaz) Amir Khan may have a a weak chin but it won't be tested in this fight as Malignaggi has no power. Khan moves at least at well as Malignaggi and will out box him if not KO him as Khan does have good power. Freddy Roach is Khan's corner man and this fight was hand picked to showcase Khan's skills. Khan refused to fight Maidana and this stage probably was a good idea as Maidana punches like a mule. I really don't give Malignaggi much of a chance though he does have good boxing skills. Roach wouldn't have Khan fight Malignaggi if he wasn't real sure he'd win. Equal speed, better power and Freddy Roach for the win. The bet.... 5 units on Khan to win 1 GL

Not sure if that is normal for him, but he has fought at 140 for a long time and as time passes it gets harder to make that weight.
Up to -600 now. Heard they had a tussle at the weigh-in. Any interest in Khan +120 on decision or +110 on KO.

I'd say Khan can get him out of there but Malignaggi has only be stopped once. So the decision is more likely. You could straddle the two bets for a small profit. Bet them both and if either happens you will win money. I try to stay away from prop bets unless I'm straddling the bets. -500 is still available on Bodog and that is much as I'm willing to risk. The other fights I've given out are at better numbers and are better plays. I still see Khan as the younger, faster and much harder hitting fighter in this fight. Wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong.

Unfortunately that is the only fight that is currently up on my sites. With regard to the straddle it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. As an example if I bet him to win I would risk $600 to win $100 but if I bet the straddle I would be risking $1000 to win either $100 or $50 in this instance of +120, +110. Wanted to also say thanks for the picks and analysis on the fights. Very informative.

There will be better spots down the road. I'm actually shocked the line was even as high as -500. Malignaggi is a very slick boxer and could win by decision.

Not that I'm suggesting that Roach is the end all of trainers but he is 4 time trainer of the year. (I still think Mayweather beats Roach's man Pacquiao) Khan won every round on my card. The mugging was finally stopped in the 11th. (this was the problem taking the KO or Decision as I thought that this might happen but Malignaggi could have finished the fight if it where closer.) 5 units bet 1 unit won. GL
