I frantically sent out emails and texts to find out WTF is going on? Then discovered that he had said publicly his back was "shot", and that he would be "playing for fun". He is one of the all time good guys. Back when I was 8-12 years old, I was lucky enough to carry the ESPN score card for him a few times at Firestone. I met about 40 of the golfers. The only two that stuck around to put, chip, etc with us after rounds were Freddie and Payne Stewart (RIP). -Sean

Couples and Nicklaus are the only 2 golfers who have a lifetime scoring average under 72 at the Masters. I am not sure what they used as the minimum # of rounds played for this stat.
