Lake Las Vegas: Signs of the Great Recession

Lake Las Vegas: Signs of the Great Recession Casino Monte Lago closing. Ritz Carlton closing. Golf courses closed. I think the whole Village might go Belly Up. The place has gone from invigorating to depressing. Walking the shorline by MonteLago, I spotted a ridulous amount of garbage floating in the lake by the West Shore. This place will become a disaster IMO.
can you set odds? it all goes back to 4 plus gas, that really hurt our country, plus our government thought -at one time- that everyone had the right to own a home - fannie, freddie - those two items!!
something like that... No comps for players at all rooms or food what casino closes the pit at a certain time during the weekday, and cuts off players from playing promos that have a loss record. They could of had a gold mine if they knew how to run a place and keep people out there but they where greedy and stupid and the place paid the price.

I think it has been a disaster for quite some time. The spousal unit and I used to go out there years ago and really enjoyed it. We even stayed at both the Hyatt and the Ritz. (Ritz was nicer) We came very, very close to buying a condo as an investment and for the use of our parents. Thank heaven the prices were outrageous. They felt they had heaven on earth. Who is worse: a real estate agent, a car salesman, or a tout? They made some weak attempts at marketing, nothing to ever get you excited about being out there.
This place will become a disaster IMO.
"will become" ..nuh uh.. "IS" anthony wrote a good one liner on his newsletter in regards to this... not enough visitors wanted to come to vegas so they could get away from vegas. i pity the folks who invested in this area a few years ago. $65 a square foot, do i hear $60 ???
