The trend: Home Teams win Game 7s in NBA and NHL The exception: When the body of work of the series has the visitor completely dominating the overall stats of the series, losing nailbiter games along with blowout wins, THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BACK THE HOME TEAM! EZ to say after the fact, BUT, the betting marketplace nailed this one, with the VAN ML dropping all day.

Such was not the case in the 1960 World Series, but of course we can come up with outliers all day. I just like talking about that WS.

damn Ice, I didn't figure you that old...this could be a good thread. I'd love to hear a little about the 1960 WS. And to add to Fezzik's list of reasons not to back VC...when Jim Rome comes on before the series and says there's no way Boston can win...because VC is just too good...and goes on to spew a couple more reasons but u can tell he doesn't know wtf he's talking about...like Fezzik says, never underestimate the media's inability to pick a winner.
