Looking Forward to March Madness After watching the NFL Pro Bowl, the Super Bowl and this weekend the
NBA All-Star events, it's pretty obvious that these big TV audiences want
a lot of singing, dancing and posturing by the athletes more then they
want info and coverage of the game itself. Could not get through the
NBA stuff this weekend. It was unwatchable even though I had some bets.
March Madness is a big TV event but they can not give short shrift to the
teams or the games because of the volume that must be covered. ESPN U
runs good coverage leading up to it and once the tourney starts it's all the
networks can do to cover the games themselves. It's the best televised
sporting event of the year for the serious fan. May run something here
if there is enough interest and we can come up with a good format.
