Lundy vs Diaz (8/19)

Lundy vs Diaz (8/19) Odds didn't come out until a few hours ago. Lundy is a sizable favorite in this fight. (-250) You may recall Lundy dominated John Molina for 7 rounds earlier this year, he then got over confident and got caught. I think that he was fading a bit when it happened. Molina is a joke of a boxer but he does have serious power. He always seems to have to come from behind to win. We'll be banking on that soon enough Diaz has been around seeming forever. 15 years. Well maybe 13 as he took a year off (retired?) to do a lot of coke after Pacquiao pushed his face in.. He's obviously slowed quite a bit but he has a good motor and keeps coming. He's a sturdy guy and any fight he's in is likely to go a long way. I like Lundy in this fight even though this fight is basically in Diaz's hometown. Lundy has shown very good movement and decent power. Diaz will put up a fight but at this stage he doesn't have the foot speed or power to win this fight. 2.5 to win 1 unit.

Lundy was cruising along and yet again he gets far to over confident and he got caught and Knocked down. A little scare there. A huge cut from what I believe they called a punch, opened up on Diaz's head. The fight likely should have been stopped. It was nasty. That was in the 5th. In the 6th Lundy, who had won every round clearly except the one where he was KD'd caught Diaz flush on the chin and the fight was over. Hope you got a chance to bet this.

I didn't bet it but great call. I did see part of the fight and with HDTV it does add a dimension to boxing not available before. That cut on Diaz was something else and pretty sure I've never seen so much blood in a boxing match. With HDTV I also never saw it clearer. The replay of the finishing punch in slow motion is just amazing to observe. Diaz's face literally crumples as he absorbs that punch. The closest thing I can compare it to is the scene from the movie "Minority Report" when Tom Cruise uses that tool and applies it under his chin to change the look of his face. Congrats on your win.
