Masters Matchup

Masters Matchup 5 Dimes just has a tonne of these matchups much more than Pinnacle. Lion Kim vs. Mark O'Meara? Probably lots for the real experts to decipher through but I'm going to put one out there. Anders Hansen vs. Mike Weir and I laid -145 on Hansen and they moved it to -140 so that is what they think of me. I really don't know anything about Hansen but he qualifies as a professional golfer from his statistics and a pretty decent one. And I like Weir and he's great for Canada and is a champion here in 2003? but his game is an absolute mess and can be verified by his season winnings this year--I think one tournament he earned cash and the rest are all missing the cut. Hansen only played this Masters once I think and he missed the cut a few years ago but he had a good finish at the WGC-Cadillac this year and he ranks #42 in the world. (Weir stands at #272) Alot of matchups I've done all right with the dog and I play Alf's as well so I don't ever come up with a favourite on my own but if it were Mahan against Weir this would be -300 and I'm going to give Hansen at least some of the gap between -140 and -300 as closer to the fairer odds. And I'm probably low at -300 for Mahan over Weir. If Mickelson can be -140 over Tiger and Mahan, Hansen can be -250 over Weir IMO.
A Hansen shot 80 and 77 LY here at Augusta (missed cut), DNP in 2009, and shot 80 and 75 in 2008(missed cut). The weakest part of his game is his putting which is lethal on this course. His overall game is in much better shape than Lil Mikey's. Lil Mikey is going thru a swing change and we will most likely not see him in any DB matchups going forward. His swing is a mess but he can still stroke it with the short stick. He has made the cut here 6 years in a row. I wish you the best of luck. It would be a pass for me. My 2 cents.
Good analysis guys. The Masters is one of the few tourneys that some guys just play well every year even though they may be playing mediocre elsewhere. Weir seems to play we'll a lot there. I remember John Huston used to stink it up most of the year and then was always near the top at Augusta.
Thanks for the input. . I noticed Hansen doesn't have a good track record here and Weir obviously has a very good track record here. But like all sports, last year was last year. Hansen doesn't give me a lot of confidence that is for sure at Augusta and bad putting doesn't sound good either. What do I think I have going for me? Maybe not as much as I thought I guess. However, I did play out the scenario that Hansen shoots 75 and 75, misses cut and honestly I was still thinking he might beat Weir by 10. That is pretty cruel though and perhaps the Masters is just good to Mike. I'll look for some more matchups today.
