Masters Matchups Wednesday Graeme McDowell -135 vs. Alvaro Quiros
Yes, we recently lost a matchup bet with G Mac and it will go down as one of the worst bad beats in the history of golf betting. But, he was playing well. The shot he into 16 landed two feet from the pin and rolled off the green, even his shot into 18 was unlucky it was probably buried in the bunker. His T17 LY was solid, he shot a 69 in the opening round at the Masters.
Quiros is the longest hitter in the Masters. This is a tremendous advantage. However, long and wild is not good and hitting into these greens there is so much trouble to avoid. Last year his first time at the Masters he missed the cut by a mile, shot 78+75 and beat only 11 players in the field and only 2 of those players were on the PGA Tour.
1st Round Matchup
Tim Clark -185 vs. Tom Watson
Watson is no slouch. He won on the Champions Tour early in the year and still hits it solid. But, the Penguin is paired with Watson and I cannot see Clark letting Watson get the best of him in either of the first two rounds. Clark finished T13 LY. I would lay up to and including -200 on this matchup.
