Monday World Cup

Monday World Cup Chile pk and -1/2 +100 If you watched the Spain-Swiss Game One, which resulted in the biggest upset in the World Cup, Switzerland won 1-0 as a +2.5 goal underdog. That the upset was exactly that, the Swiss who had only 8 shots on goal and 3 lousy corners, were dominated up and down the field, out hustled, and had a horrible possession 37%. Now the Swiss face another team similar in style to Spain. Chile has multiple offensive weapons, a fast attacking style of play and in their opener vs Honduras (1-0) had 20 shots and I thought they could have won by 3. So, I do not see Schweizer Nati pulling another upset here and Chile moving on through the Group H bracket.
What is the difference between PK and money line?
The majority of sportsbooks are dealing this "Asian" line. You have two bets, say you bet $100 on Chile at pk and -1/2 +100, $50 goes towards pk and $50 on -1/2 +100. If there is a draw you push one lose the other. If Chile wins the game you win both bets. It's like the old hockey puck line. You would lose the straight up money line bet if there is a draw, or you could hedge and take the draw, not recommended.

Spread -½ +132 Money Line +135 Game Total OVER 2 +101 Game Total UNDER 2 -116

Bodog PK -165 Money line +120 So on the money line you must lose ties.
The way I understand it is that ties lose unless you bet the draw obvioulsy.
The way I understand it is that ties lose unless you bet the draw obvioulsy.
Just figured that out, My three sites also list a draw, so Money Line bets have to win. I just bet 1 unit on -1/2 +132 as none of them are doing the Asian lines it seems. Thanks for the help GL
That is correct, money line ties lose, unless you bet the draw. The Greek line is correct. We estimated earlier that half a goal would be close to 63 cents and I still claim that is not far off, the greek is saying 53 cents.
Thanks for the winner Alf. And also thanks for the Portugal over 4.5 goals winner!
Alf- Nice call on Chile. Thanks a lot.
