Moreno vs Cermeno (8/14)

Moreno vs Cermeno (8/14) No need to break the fight down. This is a rematch and neither guy really has the power to KO the other guy. The straddle bet I'm recommending. .5 units Moreno by Decision (bodog) EVEN money to win .5 units .4 units Cermeno by Decision (bodog) +300 to win 1.2 units .1 units DRAW (bodog) +1500 to win 1.5 units My hope is Cermeno wins a decision, but use the other two bets as protection. I actually like Cermeno's chances in this fight. He lost a split decision in the first fight and had 1 point deducted for low blows. The draw back is that Moreno is at home for this fight. Often close decisions go to the hometown fights.
any thoughts on garcia vs. lock? thanks
any thoughts on garcia vs. lock? thanks
I always worry about 22 year old fighters facing veterans. That being said, I think that Lock is on the fade and should be ripe for the taking. Garcia has a great family background in boxing and seems like the real deal. Like I said, I really don't like to recommend young fighters against veterans even if they are faded. Often they are in over there heads against guys with way more experience. Garcia should win and win either easily or by KO but to lay those prices seems foolish. For a slightly larger line you can get Chad Dawson, who at least is a proven star.
The feed I had was choppy to say the least. I had Cermeno winning by 2 rounds. Of course the judges don't agree with me. Well one of them agreed with me. In yet another split decision, Moreno wins 115-113, 117-112(wtf is that score 8-3-1?) and 113-115. Usually we'd see the aggressive fighter getting the more lopsided score not the guy running/backpedaling the entire fight. Sadly we broke even on this straddle.
