Online poker in "jeopardy"? I'd say it's way past Final Jeopardy for Online Poker. And, even if the PokerStars and Full Tilt's re-open to U.S. players, you would have to be CRAZY to play there until the activity is finally regulated. It's time to cash out all you online poker accounts, if you can. Much like bonus hunting at online casinos years ago, the online poker party is over for now. At the drop of a dime, whatever accounts you have could be siezed.
What I really hope is that the Feds aren't trying to force regulation with the recent crackdowns. That would be tremendous waste of resources considering that Online Poker sites have been begging to be regulated in the U.S. since 10/2006. They're not dumb - they'd gladly pay the U.S. $1M+ per year for a license, and then make $100M from U.S. players alone.
But, perhaps most surprising is what in the hell were the PokerStars/Full Tilt principals doing in the U.S. anyway? I would think that given what happened to the Netteller guys, you'd stay out of this country.
