NFL new rule proposal: Teams that go OT should get credited with a minimum of a tie

NFL new rule proposal: Teams that go OT should get credited with a minimum of a tie Sound like a good idea?
any way to get yourself a seat at the next NFL RULES COMMITTEE meeting ?
Great idea until Billicheck and someone decide to chop the pot in week 16.
I sense the sarcasm, but it could be because I hate the rule in the NHL. (Why should some games be worth more than others? In the NHL, some games hand out three points instead of two.)

No Doubt inspired by the "3 free throws to make 2 rule" Back in the 1970s What idiot came up with that one, likely make the NHL rule. The funny thing, since no one watches the NHL, a stupid rule can stay in play FOR YEARS!!! Killing any 'over' 5.5 bet when the score hits 2-2 in the 3rd period. EVERY year, the good teams get more adept at dumping the puck and packing it in.
In the NHL, if a team were to tie every regular season game and then win half and lose half in shoot-outs, you would think they would be a very mediocre team. Actually if a team actually did this they would be the #1 seed in the playoffs year after year despite their .500 record. Really dumb, but true. Easy fix....3 points for regulation win...2 for OT win and 1 for OT loss.
Great solution Chance of implementation? Zero.
That's a VERY good solution. Then, no matter what, every game is worth 3 points TOTAL - and a regulation win SHOULD be worth more than an OT win. But you're right, it makes sense, so it won't happen.
