NHL Hockey Thursday Late money showing on the Caps vs. Pens tonight. Caps a huge dog and Ovie has been flat all season. Pitt would be the game he would get up for. It is hard to forecast a Caps win vs. the Pens tonight the way these teams are playing but if there was value on the game it has to be on the Caps. I snagged this one a little earlier but Nevada bettors can almost show up anywhere and bet this at a good price.
I'm trying to get the Islanders at an exchange but not getting filled. That line is too high based on the way Rangers and Isles have played so far. Early bettors knocked it down a bit from the opener.
I got a good number (puck line) on Carolina earlier vs. Ottawa tonight. I did think the early line was a nice price on Carolina but it is understandable with the way Ottawa is playing they are favoured but money has showed on the Canes. Carolina is an underrated team who has had some goaltending issues so far this year but they average almost 40 shots a game through their schedule so far. They have many talented forwards and some good D men. They're losing enough to stay under the radar of oddsmakers and bettors aren't belting them too much. I would never expect the game to get to a PK but that is really where in my mind I have it.
I don't have a piece of it but we can see as we saw Tuesday that money against Winnipeg as the oddsmakers open them too high at home. But they haven't lost yet there I don't think. Toronto not in a back to back but on a 3rd game in 4 nights and 4th in 6 nights. Winnipeg is relatively rested. I don't have an opinion on this game but Winnipeg after the move might have some value (Jets have gone to -125 from over -150 at open.)
Trying to look at later games. I have a bet on Phoenix not sure it will be my final position but they're playing well. Hawks awfully hot to start like to figure someone might finally beat them in regulation.
