NHL Notes for Saturday Too late for the board but Bet Cris left up a good puck line on Florida tonight near game time. Not sure I really care and I wasn't going to bet it other than the number was a scalp but the Capitals had an optional practice today and their key players didn't show up. Given their struggles early in the season it is a little surprising. There was a move on Washington vs. Pittsburgh that I lost on Thursday and really wanted the Capitals tonight but they are the favourite. Florida has done well since Weiss and Versteeg in the lineup. I got the puck line winner on Tuesday with them on that way off number on Tuesday and then they won on Thursday as well. So the late move and the info I had I put a little on Florida. Let's see how it does. I noticed Larry on the Ducks tonight. They notoriously do poorly in St. Louis and I think Hiller their 1st string goalie will be out. However, Fasth the backup has been fantastic when he's played. The Ducks are a huge dog here going on back to back but have a 7-2-1 record. A tonne of respect being given to St. Louis despite 3 really bad games in a row. The Blues might be in a situation to kick the crap out of the Ducks tonight given their history against them but it is also hard to knock the value really seems on the Ducks. I wish Larry luck and hope he hits it. If I get a bargain on a Ducks puck line I'll put a little on them. I put a small bet on Calgary myself and that is all so I'm not really recommending it. They have to go with their backup goalie as well and they're a big dog in Vancouver. However, these teams have played 9 of 11 one goal games and the other 2 games only became 2 goal games on empty net goals. I don't think Calgary is really great but I do think the impression is that they're not good. They lost Backlund the other night and Cammalleri is out as well. No starting goalie and a few injuries has them as perhaps an even bigger dog. They've already won 2 games in a row on this road trip but they need points. I'm not sure Vancouver is that good to be honest.
